A little sparkle at Sha Tin

On a day with fairly average racing the two G1 races really standout.

It's a pity that neither race has got a full field however that is HK these days without the international horses.

Race 7 is the Centenary Vase over 1800m and has only got a field of 6.  Money Catcher threw back some of the coins I had thrown in his direction the last time he came out to play and we are hoping that he will continue the practise today but it won't be a lot of coins as he's on close to evens.  Silvestre de Sousa, who together with Hugh Bowman just got his licence extended, will be riding for Frankie Lor.

In Race 8 the Centenary Sprint there are 8 runners which makes it a bit more competitive.  It looks pretty even between Wellington (Gibson-Badel) and Lucky Sweynesse (Manfred Man who also got his training licence extended which was great news and Zac Purton).  Both horses are around the 2.5 mark and to make it a bit more interesting we are adding Sky Field 8.8 Fownes-Bowman to the multiples.

The extension of the licences for Bowman, de Sousa and Man are most welcome so well done HKJC.
