The weekend's Group races start off with the Jockey Club Stakes over 2400m with the Harry Charlton trained Time Lock favourite on 15/8. Ryan Moore has the ride. Godolphin Appleby-Buick have a serious challenger in Castle Way on 11/4 but there are only 6 runners in the race.
Saturday's 2000 Guineas sees the exciting Irish colt City of Troy by Justify an odds-on favourite. He's unbeaten and has shown a great turn of foot in races to date which has given him a top rating as a 2yo. O'Brien-Moore of course.
Rosallion by Blue Point is on 9/2 and is trained by Richard Hannon with Sean Levey riding. He won the Lagardère at Longchamp and is talented.
Godolphin's Notable Speech is by Dubawi and had 3 wins at Kempton on the all-weather but that may not translate into winning form on the Newmarket turf. He's 9/1.
Our roughie is the Charlie Hills trained Iberian 25/1 with Tom Marquand riding the Lope de Vega colt.
