The last time the club raced I'Ve Bean Tryin' won the keenly contested Newhaven Park Country Championships Southern Wildcard Race.

In a nod to the depth of the inaugural Southern Wildcard the winner has also gone on to run third in the Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick and then dominate a Benchmark 78 mid-week mile race at Warwick Farm.

The fourth horse in the Southern Wildcard, Easy Rosie, has also managed a win in the ensuing weeks for Goulburn trainer Anthony Warren.

Goulburn trainers have been enjoying the change of seasons up on higher ground of late, winning four of the eight races at Canberra last Friday and another three at Wagga last Sunday.

They are well represented again on Sunday with 20 of the 75 final acceptors on the program being 'home grown'. So despite the chance of a wet track come Sunday punters could still find value in shopping local.

Danny Williams has a host of runners engaged and it could be just the sort of day for an old grey like My Blue Jeans to bob up off the back of some consistent racing of late.

Kathy O'Hara takes the ride on the evergreen galloper and he should get conditions to suit in Race 7, the ICU Security Cameras Country Boosted B58 Hcp over 1600m.

Goulburn's track is currently rated a Soft 7 with the rail in the true position and Race 1 timed to go at 12.50pm.
