Winning Trainer: Grahame Begg

Forgivable first up: "We couldn't believe at Flemington the way the race unfolded, you had a few doubts in your mind, maybe he hasn't come up or whatever but there was three or four horses in that race drawn out where he was well in the market and they never came into contention as well. He prepped up well into the race and he's continued to improve once he's had that run."

Coming to Moonee Valley: "It was a good ride tonight, small field, once he got beaten first up I thought maybe I've got to recalibrate things here and this race was on, I thought I can't go back to the Danehill if the same thing happens again so we wouldn't know where we were so tonight was a better option and we've got the money and you never know, we might be back here for the Red Anchor."

Spring options: "I think he's a good racehorse, he's very fair dinkum, whether he's right up to the top echelon grade, that remains to be seen but we can just lower our goals and have the right races and just pick off a few and we'll be right."

"He gets his head up a bit in the air mid-race, wants to overdo things, I think the faster they go the better he'll be."
