Everton vs Tottenham tips: More goals for Spurs

Tottenham will be determined to stay in the top four when they travel to Goodison Park for a date with Everton at Saturday lunchtime.

On paper, this may sound like a strong way to start the weekend. You have one team fighting for their Premier League survival going up against a top-four challenger and a potential title outsider.

However, one look at Everton's recent results might change your mind.

The Toffees have been as dull as porridge in recent weeks, with three of their last five outings ending in goalless draws.

Everton have picked up just one win in nine games across all competitions, scoring a measly five goals along the way.

Sean Dyche is celebrating his one-year anniversary at the club, though that is arguably the wrong adjective considering the wrath of challenges he has faced.

From injuries and lack of goals, to points deductions and the threat of relegation, it's not been easy. To make matters worse, we're expecting Tottenham to pile on the misery.

Spurs picked up a narrow win over Brentford on Wednesday to not only move into the coveted Champions League places, but also go within eight points of league leaders Liverpool.

Few consider Ange Postecoglou's men realistic title challengers, though a win over a struggling Toffees outfit would certainly boost their stock.

Tottenham have failed to win any of their previous five visits to Goodison Park, but no run lasts forever.

Look at Chelsea. The Blues had only lost two of 13 trips to Anfield, before being obliterated last Wednesday night at Merseyside.

Spurs have scored 18 goals across their last seven Premier League games and we're backing their fortunes in front of goal to continue.

The visitors to win the match to nil is the way to go. Everton to pick up the most bookings is another top selection.
