Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick, Eagle Farm, Morphettville Parks, Ascot and Mornington.

RANDWICK: RACE 8 @ 3:40 PM

ESPIONA (9) proven Group 1 winning mare at her lethal best this track and trip. Held up badly before getting out when the race was over to finish sixth over 1200m in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes here two weeks ago. Raced without luck at all three runs this time in and will take stopping today. CHAIN OF LIGHTNING (8) is racing in career-best form and chasing her third-straight victory after scoring a surprise neck win over 1200m in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes here. Has won at the 1400m and gets map favours again. Surround Stakes winner SUNSHINE IN PARIS (10) returned good final figures late from well back when fifth over 1200m in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes. Near her top now and looks up to this. PRIVATE EYE (1) steps out to this trip for the first time this prep and should get the right tempo to pounce late. Looked good when a recent 822m trial winner at Warwick Farm.
SELECTIONS: Espiona to win.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 5 @ 1:58 PM

SACRED FEELING (12) is a very consistent conveyance who is yet to put in a poor performance. Has a win and a placing from two attempts over the course and distance and gets the services of Orman in the irons. Looks the runner with the most upside and is hard to go past. CONNECTICUT (5) looked good winning over this track and trip at the latest effort and will have derived confidence from that victory. Nicely placed to play a leading role. THIS'LLBETHEONE (1) has been right there in recent outings and the step-up in trip suits. In the mix. KERCHAK (3) handy gelding who is racing well, including a win last start over 1540m at Gold Coast Poly. Nicely placed to play a leading role.
SELECTIONS: Sacred Feeling to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 5 @ 2:17 PM

ROCKSTAR MEGGSY (2) hasn't quite been able to threaten in her last two but will find this much easier. Drops back in trip off the short freshen and is aided at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged. Plenty to like. FOXY FEMME (8) was denied a long neck of resuming a winner last start. The rise in trip will assist her chances significantly and also has the benefit of a soft draw. Right in this. PURE BLISS (10) knuckled down gamely to shed the maiden tag at Oakbank last time. The form from the race has stuck up superbly. Can go on with it now. TOI ET MOI (12) and EGYPTIAN TYCOON (5) carry similar formlines and other live chances. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Backing Rockstar Meggsy to win.

ASCOT: RACE 5 @ 3:46 PM

GENEROSITY (2) is a lightly-raced filly who absolutely bolted in at the trials recently. She was stretched to a mile last campaign but her sole win has come over this distance. Worth noting Josh Parr has taken the ride and the outside alley is no issue. Can storm right over the top of these. BARNEY'S WORLD (8) ran on well first-up in Open 3YO grade and drops in weight off that effort. Has plenty of upside and the first-up effort laid the platform for a promising campaign. Nicely drawn and rates the testing material. KRYSANOVA (4) just missed in a blanket finish last time out after a narrow win first-up. Maps to be prominent from the inside alley as she hits her peak third-up. Only swamped late last start and now strips fitter. CLOSE TALKER (10) just missed in the same race as Krysanova and looks to have good upside. Improving type with winning credentials.
SELECTIONS: Generosity is the one to beat.

MORNINGTON: RACE 10 @ 5:10 PM

DASHING (4) has been rock solid in two runs back from a spell and should be at peak fitness now out to a mile, with some key dangers likely to be lacking fitness. He was beaten under a length last start at Flemington and should have the pace to land in the first couple here. FRIGID (8) was good at Caulfield second-up from a spell when third and should be fitter again. She maps for a good run here and is right up to these at her best. GREGOLIMO (2) resumes. He didn't manage a win last time in but ran very well in some top races. Certainly has the class. FARHH FLUNG (7) has been solid in two runs back and can sneak into the finish. Watch the market on QUANTUM CAT (11) who will likely want further at his first Australian run.
SELECTIONS: Dashing to win.
