Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Beaudesert, Ascot, Flemington, Kalgoorlie and Gawler.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 7 @ 4:15 PM

CITY OF LIGHTS (1) classy mare destined for better things. Rattled late from well back when a close-up ninth in the G3 Aspiration Quality at Randwick two back. Demolished her rivals over this track and trip at latest four weeks ago. Since fitted with a recent 1207m trial and look for her swooping late. ZOUATICA (2) tough on-pace gelding who had too much up the sleeve when led throughout to score over 1600m at Gosford two weeks ago. This is stronger but looks well in with Jake Barrett's 3kg claim. FAY'S ANGELS (8) handy Taree-trained mare who was strong through the line when third over 2100m at Gosford on April 10. Looks well placed again on the limit weight. MR BUSTER (6) returned from a lengthy break with an eye catching fourth over 1600m at Warwick Farm on April 1. Goes just as well second-up and extra trip suits.
SELECTIONS: City Of Lights to win.

BEAUDESERT: RACE 2 @ 1:09 PM

JUNGLE JET (5) came from the back placing behind Hatasu at Doomben over 2060 metres. Represents the sharp Vandyke yard and Cahill goes on for the apprentice. Fitter again and the staying trip should be right up his alley. Peaks and he's the one they have to beat. KAIROS LOUIE (6) improved sharply stepping up to a middle distance at Doomben in better class. That reads well and he should run out the extra metres. IN THE PICTURE (9) went close at Ipswich and then found Doomben too much of a stretch. Presents on a quick back-up with a 2kg claim and should be around the mark. MAJESTIC ANGEL (10) is also on trial over the staying journey but shouldn't be too far away.
SELECTIONS: Backing Jungle Jet to win.

ASCOT: RACE 3 @ 2:19 PM

DANCE BOSS (3) got back off a slow tempo last start and rattled home in the small field to just miss as favourite. He'll be better for that effort and he returned with a new peak rating which bodes well for the rest of his campaign. Looks a quality galloper who should be getting the job done today. FOREVER CLASSIC (4) bolted in two back before finishing in behind Dance Boss last time out, beaten 1L on the line. She ticks plenty of boxes again today from a good alley and Brad Parnham sticking. Expecting her to go close once again. BIG CITIES (8) is better than he showed last start when getting a long way back down the Pinjarra straight and never featuring. On the quick turnaround today and up in trip which suits. Likely to play a major role. DEETEA (2) disappointed when fresh but boasts a strong second-up record, winning 2/3. Expecting sharp improvement. LITTLE SILVER (1) can be around the mark while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Dance Boss.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 8 @ 5:05 PM

ELOUYOU (12) resumes. He won two on the bounce at Geelong prior to his first spell and looked very smart winning by over 3 lengths when going straight from maiden to BM70 grade. Talented horse who can measure right up with D Lane booked to ride. FLYING ON A LIMB (9) was good first-up before an even effort in a bunched finish at this track and trip last start. Won't need to improve much to take this out. DIRECT (1) comes back from a listed placing at Oakbank. Certainly up to winning this at his best. VELOCE CARRO (10) resumes. He's a consistent type who has form around some handy horses. Respect. ZION (11) can improve off a solid first-up run.
SELECTIONS: Elouyou to win.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 4 @ 3:09 PM

ARCADIA JEWEL (6) is third-up and ready to fire for the top local barn. Needs the mile now and Faithfull goes on. Rates well and is the one they have to beat. Stablemate IT'S A LANCE (2) improved again winning this grade second-up. The extra metres won't worry and fitter he's a chance to repeat. RED WITH TED (4) brings decent form from Esperance and Albany and has been kept on the fresh side. Stablemate DEEL RED (5) resumed here further improved and keeps the handy 2kg claim. Fitter and is in the mix again.
SELECTIONS: With Arcadia Jewel.

GAWLER: RACE 8 @ 4:47 PM

SAN LUCIDO (4) was a comfortable winner the last time he visited this course in January and his 3 starts since then have all had merit in tougher fields at Morphettville Parks. He was running on powerfully late over 1250 metres last time out and the extra furlong here is ideal. If the gaps come at the right time, he should be hard to beat. RUBINI (8) took his time to reach full-fitness this prep but put it all together last time out when scoring by a neck. He is up 4 kilos in weight this time but does slide back a grade and he can win again. IMPOSING SUSPECT (3) is a very capable gelding on his day and he took his record to 3 wins on this track from only 4 starts when he was successful here just over a fortnight ago. He is just as sharp second up and with the aid of a 2 kilo claim, he can double the dose. SANTELMO FUEGO (5) is a tough veteran who is still very competitive at this level. He normally hits his straps third up and with a drop back in class he can figure in the finish.
SELECTIONS: San Lucido to win.
