Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Wagga, Muswellbrook, Bendigo, Sunshine Coast, Port Augusta, Pinjarra and Hobart.

WAGGA: RACE 6 @ 3:50 PM

EVERIDO (1) promising Canberra-trained gelding who returned good figures late when a close-up fifth over 1400m at Randwick Kensington three-and-a-half weeks ago. Will find this more to his liking and should get the right tempo to finish over the top of these. DUNLOE (4) building a nice record and peaked third-up when a strong on-pace winner over 1400m at Ballarat on March 24. Well drawn again and both wins have come over this trip. Go close. TOES IN THE WATER (7) gritty return in the heavy (8) going when stuck on well to finish third over 1200m at Wagga Riverside in similar company. Goes just as well second-up and undefeated at this trip. CHECK SIDE (12) worth including for value.
SELECTIONS: Everido to win.

WAGGA: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

CANNY HELL (8) classy Hellbent gelding with the solid record of four wins from eight starts. Sat on the speed from a sticky gate when a tenacious 0.8 len winner over 1400m at Albury on March 22. Undefeated this trip and since kept up to the mark with a recent 900m trial win. Hard to hold out from the good draw. FREE MARKET (13) scored a well-deserved win at Moonee Valley two back, then never got into the contest when sixth over 1175m at Albury on March 21. Smart when right and should get the required tempo. THE PRODIGAL SON (11) kept safe in betting when returned for a disappointing 11th over 1200m at Caulfield on April 6. Big improver from the draw and not to be underestimated. MISS OSTEND (5) resumes from a break of four-and-a-half months. Finished fourth at her most recent appearance over 1300m at Moruya. Placed in a recent trial. Don't dismiss.
SELECTIONS: Canny Hell to win.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 6 @ 4:00 PM

IRON HAT (5) bolted in first-up over this course and distance then just missed out making it two in a row at Wyong last time out when extended to 1100m. Tackling some smart types today but he is beautifully weighted and up to the task on current form. RIVA DEL SOL (4) appreciated the drop in grade when she scored last start in a similar race to this at Scone. Kept fresh since that success a month ago and a repeat is on the cards. DEEP ROUGE (6) is back from a 19-week spell for a new stable. Opened last prep with a win over today's journey at Eagle Farm. Nice trial winner recently so she looks ready to fire. OMAR (8) disappointed at Newcastle last start but is better placed out to this distance.
SELECTIONS: Iron Hat to win.

BENDIGO: RACE 3 @ 1:35 PM

A BOOK OF DAYS (1) has had two runs to date, placing on debut at Pakenham behind a smart filly before being turned over at $1.40 at Sandown-Lakeside, only managing 4th. Excuses were offered there and that market support was telling. Keen he bounces back. PLATINUM DESTROYER (4) has had three runs to date and been good in all, the latest when third on heavy ground at Geelong when fresh. Fitter for that and looks a strong chance. HAWKSURE (2) was in the market on debut here before a spell but struggled on the heavy ground and was spelled. In good hands, can do much better here. MOONBIRD (3) was poor last time but solid on debut and isn't hopeless.
SELECTIONS: A Book Of Days to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 4 @ 2:15 PM

An $85,000 contest for the babies. CRYPTOSTAR (5) was a dominant winner at Rockhampton at the latest effort and is sure to have taken a stack of confidence from that victory. Gets Wiggins back on board to navigate from the sticky alley and should be right there at the business end. STEP ALONG (3) hasn't done much wrong with a win and two seconds from three starts to date with both those runner-up finishes coming over this track and trip. Hard to find fault. EAGLE'S FIRE (6) resumed in good order with a solid Gatton win and can go right on with the job now. Respect. MISHANI SUSPECT (9) should be near her peak now third-up and looks one for the exotics players. SUN WORSHIPPER (12) won at Rockhampton on debut and gets 3kg off with the claim. Has to be included.
ELECTIONS: Cryptostar to win again.

PORT AUGUSTA: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM

CHARLESFORT (1) was below his best last time at Gawler but had been ticking along nicely prior. Felicity Atkinson has never been out of the frame when aboard this four-year-old gelding so a better run is on the cards. RIVERSIDE ROCK (8) closed off strongly into the frame last start to grab a minor cheque. Gets his chance to break a long run of outs with a similar effort. SHIPWRECK (3) dug deep to get off the mark two starts ago. Followed it up with a solid chase into fourth last start at Port Lincoln. Right in the mix if he can find a bit more. MR RODMAN (4) next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Charlesfort to win.

PINJARRA: RACE 7 @ 6:45 PM

The promising RICHANCO (4) led and bolted in over this course and distance last time out, scoring an impressive debut victory. He looks an above average horse and we'll get a guide on his form through earlier races. Can work his way through the grades with a win in this. WEERAECHOUX (8) resumes today with a nice trial at Lark Hill under his belt. He's a winner first-up in the past and Brad Parnham sticks from the trial. Can make a statement on resumption. ELBOW LOUNGE (2) should benefit from the fresh run on the Scarpside here and can be an improver. PROTEGE (3) is a progressive type with nice formlines from last campaign. No public trials make him very interesting.
SELECTIONS: Richanco can go back-to-back.

HOBART: RACE 5 @ 2:55 PM

KIREINA MARUBRAH (5) missed a whisker twice and then led again and delivered an easy CL1 win at Launceston this trip. Has the speed to clear the awkward gate and she can go on with it now. CAPITAL CHEVAL (1) resumed with a 1.5L defeat in a CL2. He's further improved and fitter can make the finish. KINGS ON QUEENS (4) drops back from the mile but rates well and Newitt sticking is a positive. RUE DE PALAIS (2) has been out of the money recently but draws well and is a strong contender on his best form.
SELECTIONS: Backing Kireina Marubrah.
