Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Casterton and Wagga Riverside.

CASTERTON: RACE 1 @ 1:30 PM

BUOYANT (1) is a consistent conveyance who has only missed the top-five once in nine career outings. Was a handy third at Casterton when resuming in the first run for the new stable and will have come on since that effort. Looks very hard to toss. MIDNIGHT LADY (9) hasn't done much wrong placing in both starts to date and rates a genuine top-three candidate. QUEENS CLUB (7) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and is one for the exotics. CHILDERS COVE (5) is facing the starter for the first time and any market confidence must be respected.
SELECTIONS: Buoyant to win.

CASTERTON: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM

DEIFIC (3) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two placings to commence the career and strikes a very winnable contest here. Rates the testing material against this lot. WHITE HART EXPRESS (9) has put in two solid performances since joining the new stable and will strip fitter third-up from the break. Looms as the main danger. BIG BEAR JOHN (10) improved sharply to just miss the placings last time out and will get a cushy run in transit from the inside alley. Worth following up. BOLD JAKKAL (2) wasn't disgraced beaten four lengths on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that race day experience. In the mix. TIME LUCAS (8) next best from the Wilde barn.
SELECTIONS: Deific to win.

WAGGA RIVERSIDE: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM

MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN (4) brings the best form to the race and is chasing his third straight victory after a dominating win over 1600m at Canberra on November 1. Will have little trouble with the extra 200m and rates on top. CLIFF HOUSE (2) is a lightly raced Starcraft gelding who's showing potential as he steps up in journey. Taken to the front and showed plenty of fight when a gritty 2nd over 1600m at Wagga on October 28. Has plenty of upside and looks a serious player. TULLAGHAN (5) ran below expectations when tight in the market at Albury in the heavy conditions at latest. Firmer track today and back in grade. Value runner.
SELECTIONS: Mammoth Mountain to win.

WAGGA RIVERSIDE: RACE 8 @ 5:30 PM

IMPROPER (2) went straight to the front and gave nothing else a chance when a dominant winner over 900m at Albury on November 4. Jumps in weight today but gets a senior rider on. Should give them something to catch again. ALPINE LADY (3) returns here and has a good fresh record. Not at home on the heavy (10) when fourth over 1000m at Goulburn on August 8. Has a stack of ability but will need luck from the gate. INTENSE EFFORT (4) started a solid favourite on debut when got off the mark for a tough win at Wagga over 1000m on October 28. Must be kept safe again. CONSTANTINOU (1) ran right through the line late when 5th first-up at Sapphire Coast over 1000m on November 3. Has won second-up and will be suited by the good early tempo expected here.
SELECTIONS: Improper to win.
