Brisbane Lions v Melbourne Demons

Lincoln McCarthy Anytime Goal Scorer $1.50

Josh Dunkley 25+ Disposals $1.44

Clayton Oliver 25+ Disposals $1.20

Brisbane will be looking for a strong performance in round two after they were blown away by Port Adelaide in their first official run. It won't be an easy ask with another quality outfit in Melbourne their next opponent. With the Dees strong raft of backline defenders, small forwards will be vital if the Lions want to avoid the loss column again and Lincoln McCarthy has the ability to go on the ground or through the air. Josh Dunkley was brought to Brisbane exactly for these types of matchups, to match the strong bodies of a Clayton Oliver or Christian Petracca, Dunkley will be instrumental for Brisbane to stand a chance. For Oliver, it should be business as usual, not many can stop the inside mid and he should be set for another big day.

Western Bulldogs v St Kilda Saints

Marcus Bontempelli Anytime Goal Scorer $1.24

Jack Macrae 30+ Disposals $1.49

Jack Sinclair 25+ Disposals $1.72

The promise of the Dogs' tall forward line was quickly shattered in week one after Sam Darcy had to swing back to cover the loss of Liam Jones. Jones looks set to play this week but now it's Rory Lobb who will be missing, these outs will force Bontempelli to return to his forward midfield split where he is always a chance to score. Another loss in Adam Treloar will only increase the responsibility of Jack Macrae, especially with Dunkley's exit. Macrae will be needed around the ball all game where he racks up the pill for fun. The Saints were surprise winners round one but an injured squad might not make it two from two. The Dogs should be all over this game with the ball spending most of the time in the Saints' backline where it will be up to the silky Jack Sinclair to minimise the damage.

Essendon Bombers v Gold Coast Suns

Alwyn Davey Anytime Goal Scorer $1.44

Zach Merrett 30+ Disposals $1.67

Wil Setterfield 20+ Disposals $1.39

Alwyn Davey impressed in his debut match and he should have ample opportunities to score again against a Gold Coast team that can't seem to make the leap to a quality team. Zach Merrett racked up 29 possessions last week despite the tag and looks set for a big year as captain. Complementing Merrett perfectly was Will Setterfield - the Bombers have been crying out for a big-bodied midfielder to help Parish, Shiel and Merrett and Setterfield looked the goods week one. Setterfield will play inside mid all day and will have plenty of chances to rack up 20 disposals.
