A Stitch up in Time saves Manly

fatjack

Manly Silvertails,

Obviously the Centrebet chequebook was to the fore last night buying all the tickets to the referees and NRL Officials Ball last night.
In 50 years of watching Rugby League I have NEVER seen a worse STITCH UP then last night's effort.
I've always been both a Rugby League and Union fan but over the last 2/3 years I've said to my mates that league is the superior game because of the overall consistency and referees following the rules; that's all gone out the window in one game. It was a disgrace, something needs to be done the officiating had a real smell to it.
I'm not going to go into the details those who saw it know them like me you are probably still shaking your heads in disbelief.

I'll make a call now, there will not be any sport in SEQ this weekend, even Indoors may need a snorkel and flippers.
This rain cell over the next two days would have a lot of people very very nervous.
Very unfortunate for the winter carnival, will be in total disarray if this rain continues as long as expected.
Hope I'm wrong, but it's been raining cats and dogs.

Looking for a Seachange

fatjack

Does anyone know what has happened to this lovely mare, she's been very good to me this campaign and I'm missing her already. I noticed she was nominated for two races last week and didn't accept in either.
I hope she hasn't gone amiss.
Look forward to hearing the skinny.
Cheers

O'Hara STAR

fatjack

Congratulation Kathy O'Hara to be the first female apprentice to outride her full allowance.

I just wish I'd started following her two years ago and not 6 months ago (although I might have got picked up for stalking). I might also have made as much money as Khrapper following C. Newitt LOL.

So Congratulations to Kathy, a great effort and she's a pretty good sort into the bargain.

Cheers

Forumites Fanny Watch Update

Looks like Fanny could be one out of the box today and well fancied, particularly with a little moisture about to help her perform at her very best.

I think she'll be peaking today, I'll be taking a boxed banker trifecta of Roving Fanny with:

Entree Size
Missed Connection
Perilous Peak
Vivid Visual

Bottoms up

Congrats Dan Nikolic

fatjack

Dan,
Congratulations on your excellent riding recently, I'm sure there are plenty more winners to come.

Congratulations on your engagement as well, if she's(apologies don't know the name) not a Group 1 winning filly, I'm a very bad judge, she's an absolute cracker.
Cooee cobber spot on sport go for ya kanga.
Cheers

Papal Stakes

fatjack

Forumites,
Interested to know if anyone is running a book on the Papal Stakes, will probably be the most important international race of the decade.
It would be interesting to hear some commentary regarding who would be the best contenders on form and possibly on breeding or lack there of in both cases. How do we line up the form?
What sort of characteristics would be most important to make the final field of acceptances.
One of my measuring sticks would be, what chance would they have of getting a blue card here in Australia, that should shorten the list of 118 potential nominees pretty quickly.
Over to you forumites who are we going to make favourite.
