Three-year-old filly Canny De Zero ($2.60) was quickly away from her wide barrier (10) and immediately crossed to race outside the leader, the lightly raced four-year-old gelding Opera Blu ($2.40 fav). She challenged the favourite passing the 200m, forged to a narrow lead at the 100m and went on to score well by a long neck in smart time (57.22), putting up a good effort for her first win in seven starts. *ANZ
