Telperion was a little slowly away from the gates and was allowed to drift back to last in the small field. He turned for home a clear last travelling well before being taken to the outside in the straight where he quickly picked up her rivals and drew away to a most impressive victory. Prized Icon enjoyed a nice run in second position behind the leader Vienna Waltz. He challenged for the leader inside the final 200 metres but could not matched the turn of foot of the winner to his outside. He battled on gamely for a well beaten second.
