Brilliant Terror began well and worked from his outside barrier (9) to take the lead at the 1000m. He eased out a bit wider on the track (looking for better going) at the 300m and fought back well for a gutsy half head win. Estonian Princess raced near the leading division but was trapped three wide without cover. She moved up to challenge at the 200m and continued to fight on gamely, failing by only half head for a good second after having a hard run. She’s Bella began quickly and eased to get a good run fourth one out and one back. But she was held up for a run in the straight, eased across heels at the 200m and then finished well for an unlucky third. The favourite Moderate enjoyed a good trip in sixth, one off the rails following a good pace. She put in a run at the 200m but then just battled on for fourth after seeming to have every chance. *ANZ
