Three-year-old filly Pittsburgh Flyer impressed in beating older runners here on debut in this Maiden Plate. She was smartly away and settled nicely, racing outside the leader (Viva La Dance). She moved up to challenge that runner on straightening, took the lead at the 100m and then forged clear to score with something in hand by two lengths. It was a smart effort and she looks likely to progress to far better things. *ANZ
