The six-year-old by former locally stood stallion Follow The Stars was just one of five wins on the day for Shannon Suvaljko.

The three-year-old maidens opened the meeting, with the well-bred Mister Linton claiming his first win at just his fourth start in a race. Bred and owned by Kim Marsh, the Kevin Keys trained gelding was having his first start since September 2022 started as the $1.50 favourite, and after settling back in the field from the second row, Shannon Suvaljko pulled out three wide with a lap to go to win by 5.5m.

With the sudden and incredibly sad passing of Noel Hughes late last week, the drivers in race two wore black arm bands as a sign of respect, and it was almost a fairy tale ending with Rollyourown (owned by Helen Miller and Noel Hughes) rocketing home to be beaten by just a nose on the line. Gota Good Warhol was able to stave off his rivals after leading all the way over the 1730m trip giving the four-year-old his third career victory for trainer/driver Hayden Reeves.

Coming off a last start second at Narrogin just five days earlier, Only Five Starzzz went one better in race three on the card, with the five-year-old bringing up her eighth career win for Kevin and Hayden Charles. Charles made full use of the sprint lane at Kellerberrin, rattling home to win by 2.7m in 2:02:0 over the 1730m sprint trip.

Leg two of Suvaljko's winning quintet came up in race four when he steered home the Shane Quadrio trained Allwood Wizard to victory. Starting from barrier three over the 2130m journey, the $1.50 favourite was able to lead all the way resuming in winning style from a short let up, bringing up his first win since August 2022.

The wins continued into race five, with Dazzling Jewel making it two from two since joining the stables of Lang Inwood. Starting from barrier three, they were able to cross the favourite with ease, going on to win by 2.7m.

Inwood and Suvaljko joined forces again in race seven to get the win with Lets Rock Tonight, breaking a 13-start losing sequence, his first win in four months since the end of the Albany season. Inwood got the quinella in the race with the equal favourite Cracka Tinny going down by a 10.7m margin to his stablemate.

Hayden Reeves prepared a winning double on the card, with Maddy Maddy claiming an interesting win in the last after appearing to be gone with a lap to go. Driven by Trent Wheeler in the standing start, she stepped nicely from the 10m handicap to win by a head, the fifth win for the five-year-old in 51 starts.
