54-year-old Tommy Sheehy has spent the past four years on the sidelines, but on Friday night at Northam he made his returned to the gig, and on just his second drive for the night was back in the winner’s circle on board Miss Vung Tau for trainer Ross King.

With a dual meeting on Friday night, Wagin Trotting Club was host for the country racing to start off the weekend on May 12.

Sunday’s meeting at the Central Wheatbelt Harness Racing Club celebrated their main race of the season, the Shire Of Kellerberrin Central Wheatbelt Cup, with in form Zyanya taking out the $11,000 feature for Garry Sayers and Shannon Suvaljko.
