Sandown Hillside Race 1 – Cora Lynn

Nice debut from this Yulong filly who hit the line nicely for second after stepping slowly. She just had to wait for runs when strung up along the inside as the winner controlled the race from outside the lead and pinched a break in the straight. The result probably wouldn't have changed but I liked Cora Lynn's chase in what looks a fairly strong midweek maiden. She'll have no issue stepping up to 1200m soon and should be winning this time in.

Randwick Kensington Race 1 – Megastar Heart

Handy win from this Star Turn colt who seemed to do plenty wrong in the lead but still proved too good for the short-priced favourite who had every chance to run him down. He did a bit wrong on debut as well but still cracked the 90 mark on the R&S scale and he's improved on that again here. Watching him in the straight, he didn't know what to do under pressure, swishing his tail around everywhere and when the penny drops, he should make a nice horse who can win plenty more races.
