Morphettville Parks Races Review on 28th August 2022

Merry Mac Boy made it two wins in a row when he took out the 1250 metre opening event at Morphettville on the Parks track on Saturday.

Coming out of the Peter Moody stable at Pakenham the Jason Benbow guided Merry Mac Boy  was inn a good position throughout the race.

Warrnambool trainer Lindsay Smith continued the run of visiting trainers in the first two races when Aeecee Dolce  took out the 1950 metre second race.

Having the services of Kayla Crowther Aeecee Dolce came from last to win in a dominant fashion.

After running forth at his previous start and pulled up lame Courageous Hearts  was successful in winning his first race in the 1000 metre third event.

Trained by Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas the Jason Holder guided Courageous Hearts came from a worse than midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Big Man at Night made it two wins in a row at his second start when he took out the 1250 metre fourth race.

Being in the care of Michael Hickmott at Murray Bridge the Todd Pannell ridden Big Man at Night was handy to the lead throughout the race.

Jockey Barend Vorster was seen at his best when his mount Tony Montana brought up successive wins in the 1300 metre fifth race.

Prepared at Strathalbyn by Shayne Cahill Tony Montana came from near last with a superb rails-run to meet with success.

Ballarat trainer Henry Dwyer kept the winners coming for the border hoppers when Harbourmaster took out the 1550 metre sixth race.

Having the services of Mitch Aitken and coming off a last start win Harbourmaster was well placed and won in an exciting finish.

The Flemington stable of Ben and JD Hayes landed the second leg of a two state double when Rigel Star took out the 1000 metre seventh race.

Having the services of apprentice Laura Lafferty Regel Star came from a better than midfield position to register his fourth win from twelve starts.

The father and son team of Anthony and Sam Freedman took the honours when Heywood took out the 1400 metre eighth race.

Ridden by Campbell Rawiller Heywood raced in in a forward position before taking out the event.

The senior partner of the Macdonald/Gluyas training partnership Leon Macdonald was successful in winning the race named in his honour when Dalasan nook out the 1400 metre listed event.

Giving Jason Holder his second win for the day Dalasan, who has not won for two and a half years, came from a better than midfield position to win.

Montign landed his sixth consecutive win when he took out the 1250 metre final event.

Trained at Murray Bridge by Stuart Padman and having the services of Sophie Logan Montign came from a rearward position and powered home to win.
