Morphettville Races Report on 10th December 2022

Apprentice Lachlan Neindorf started the day in celebratory fashion when he rode the three-year-old filly Angelique to a win in the 1050 metre opening race at Morphettville on Saturday.

Prepared by Shane Nichols at Mornington Angelique showed her opposition a clean pair of heels by leading all the way and breaking her maiden status at her second race day outing.

The father and daughter training combination of Richard and Chantelle Jolly continued their attack on SA racing when they brought up their fourteenth consecutive Saturday winner when Wild Imagination won the 1800 metre second race.

Winning her second consecutive race the Jake Toeroek guided Wild Imagination led all the way.

Pakenham trainer Andew Homann was the second border hopping trainer to win a race when Darlamax took out the 2500 metre third race.

Having the services of Jason holder Darlamax was an impressive all the way winner.

Richard and Chantelle Jolly brought up their second winner for the day when Our Shining Star took out the 1050 metre fourth race.

Breaking her maiden status at start two the Kayla Crowther guided Our Shining Star was in the leading division throughout the event.

Coming off a last start third on the main track Who's Clang brought up a win in the 1200 metre fifth race.

Giving Richard and Chantelle Jolly their third winner for the day the Jake Toeroek mount Who's Clang was prominent throughout the event.

Apprentice Lachlan Neindorf made it two wins for the day when he landed a win on Residue in the 1800 metre sixth race.

Continuing the run of front-runners the Michael Hickmott trained Residue was well placed.

Prepared by Will Clarke and ridden by apprentice Ben Price Jean Valjean came from last on the home turn to register his third win from eleven starts in the 1050 metre seventh race.

Teagan Voorham brought up a running double in a listed event when she rode Diamonds to his second listed event win in a month in the listed Christmas Handicap which was run over 1200 metres.

Being under the care of Chris Beig Diamonds gradually improved from a rearward position to take the event.

Kayla Crowther brought up her second winner for the day when Test The Law took out the 1200 metre final event.

Bringing up win two from seven stats the Matt Seyers trained Test The Law was another to taste victory after being one off the pace.
