Murray Bridge Races Review on 1st July 2023

Teagan Voorham brought up her first win as a senior rider when she rode Dubeneko to a win in the opening event at Murray Bridge on Saturday.

Being under the care of Chris Beig and resuming from a spell Dubeneko came from last on the home turn and will now be set for the 1400 metre Oaklands Plate at Morphettville in a fortnight.

It did not take long for hoop Jake Toeroek to get back into the winner's list after a holiday in Japan when his mount Brawl won the 2500 metre second race.

Prepared at Horsham by Paul Preusker, Brawl settled in the back half of the field before making a bold bid for victory late in the event.

Apprentice Sheriden Tomlinson continued to impress racegoers when he rode Celsius Star to a win in the 1200 metre third race.

Prepared at the Morphettville stable of Philip Stokes and bringing up win five from fifteen starts Celsius Star led all the way.

Coming off a last start fourth at Murray Bridge Turf Decision showed a liking for the track when he won the 1400 metre fourth race.

Having the services of Dom Tourneur and trained at Bordertown by Jeff Searle Turf Decision came from a midfield position to win in a tight finish.

Cranbourne trainer Mark Webb continued his good run when he comes to Adelaide with his charge Ocean Reward winning the 1000 metre fifth race.

Ridden by Caitlin Jones Oceans Reward came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Jake Toeroek brought up his second winner for the day when Oracle Son took out the 1000 metre sixth race.

Presenting trainer Phillip Stokes with his second win for the day Oracle Son came from a better than midfield position with an outside run to win.

The nine -year-old gelding France's Boy returned to the winner's list when he took out the 1600 metre seventh race.

Prepared on the track by John Hickmott and Carina Riggs the Jacob Opperman guided France's Boy  raced in a forward position before registering his fourteenth win from one hundred and four starts.

The husband and wife training team of Peter and Belinda blanch continued their good run when Validated took out the 1200 metre eighth race.

Giving Dom Tourneur his second win for the day Validated came from a midfield position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Murray Bridge based trainer Jordan Frew completed a good week when his charge Headphones gave him his third winner in four days in the 1400 metre final event.

Having the services of Sam Payne Headphones was well placed.
