Morphettville Parks Races Review on 09th September 2023

Apprentice Kelsey Hannan keeps going from strength to strength when she rode Prince Jofra to a win in the 1550 metre opening event.

Bringing up his second win in a row the Travis Doudle trained Prince Jofra  raced in a forward position.

Retuning to racing Lord Vladivostok put in a winning performance when he took out the 1250 metre second race.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by Michael Hickmott and guided to victory by Todd Pannell Lord Vladivostok came from last with a withering run in the centre of the track and gave the impression there could be bigger wins in the near future such as the listed 1600 metre Murray Bridge Cup on October 7.

The five-year-old mare Prophet's Choice presented Warrnambool trainer Peter Chow with a win in the 1000 metre third race.

Bringing up successive wins the Kayla Crowther guided Prophet's Choice  was seen running on from a rearward position.

Meiner Legacy was the second Warrnambool trained horse to meet with success within an hour when he took out the 2400 metre fourth race.

Prepared by Adam Purcell and guided to victory by Jason holder Meiner Legacy raced in a forward position with a late over the concluding stages.

Kayla Crowther brought up the second leg of a double when Killiako took out the 1250 metre fifth race.

First up after a spell the Phillip Stokes prepared Killiako came with a punishing run down the middle of the track to record a win over another Stokes runner Street Delight.

Coming off a last start third at Gawler Vino Decasa Nostra went two better when he took out the 1950 metre sixth race.

Having the services of apprentice Lachlan Neindorf the Jarrad Lynch prepared Vino Decasa Nostra came from a near last position to give Lynch the first leg of a quinella with Seafaring finishing second.

Todd Pannell landed the second leg of a double when Aitch D'Amico won the 1300 metre seventh race.

Resuming racing after a spell the Byron Cozamanis prepared Aitch D'Amico was another to defy the usual trend of on pace runners on the Parks track to win when he came from the rear of the field with on outside run to meet with success.

Little known trainer George Karayannis was well pleased with the win of his charge Outpost in the 1000 metre eighth race.

Having the services of Ryan Hurdle Outpost was another runner to come from the rear of the field to win.

The five-year-old mare Connemara Queen made it two wins in succession when she took out the 1400 metre final event.

Being under the care of Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea the apprentice Ben Price ridden Connemara Queen was well placed.
