Morphettville Parks Races Review on 23rd September 2023

Jockey Jason Holder opened the Parks meeting in good style when he rode Huggle Time to a win in the 1250 metre opening event on Saturday.

Bringing up his second win the Richard and Chantelle Jolly prepared Huggle Time  went down the outside to meet with success.

Coming off a last start third the Callum Murray ridden Pricilla's Choice took out the 1250 metre second race.

Prepared by Roslyn Day Pricilla's Choice fought off her opposition be leading all the way.

Caitlin Jones showed plenty of strength when her mount Jenkins won the 1400 metre third race.

Coming out of the Morphettville stable of Phillip Stokes Jenkins came from well back to power home late in the event.

Apprentice Jacob Opperman was at his best when he rode Thirsty Guest to a win in the 1550 metre fourth race.

Jointly prepared by Daniel Clarken and Oopy MacGillivray Thirsty Guest was seen running on strongly from a rearward position.

The Bordertown Husband and wife training duo of James and Lisa Dodgson were well pleased with the win of their charge big Option in the 1250 metre fifth race.

Having the services of Kayla Crowther Big Option raced in a forward position in bring up win number four from nineteen starts.

Jason Holder brought up his second winner for the afternoon when he rode Chicago Storm to victory in the 1400 metre sixth race.

Prepared at Murray Bridge by David Aldridge and coming off a last start second Chicago Storm raced one off the pace.

Callum Murray brought up his second winner for the day when he rode Eureka's Victory to a win in the 1950 metre seventh race.

Trained at Murray Bridge by Nicole Irwin Eureka's Victory was another to be well placed.

Being first up after a spell Grinzinger Prince presented trainer Cody Reardon with a win in the 1000 metre eighth race.

Ridden by Emily Finnegan Grinzinger Prince came from a rearward position with a withering run late in the event.

Kayla Crowther joined the doubles department when she rode Wakanjeja to a win in the 1000 metre final event.

A former Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea trained runner came from a near last position to give trainer Phillip Stokes a double on the day.


Racing and Sports
