Morphettville Parks Races Race Review on 30th September 2023

Coming from the new training facility at Wellington for Michael Hickmott Fancify took out the opening event of 1300 metres on the Parks rack at Morphettville on Saturday.

Having the services of apprentice Ben Price and recording her second win at start four Fancify led all the way.

Morphettville trainer john Hyam struck early when Prince Reichweite  took out the 1300 metre second race.

A $40,000 purchase at the Tasmanian yearling sales the Laura Lafferty ridden Prince Reichweiti came from a midfield position to finish the race strongly.

Melbourne jockey Alana Kelly was well pleased with her mount Foster Street  in winning the 1000 metre third race.

Being under the care of Byron Cozamanis Foster Street came from last with a rails run to win.

 The listed 1600 metre Hill Smith Stakes on October 14 awaits after Sentimental Flame won the 1550 metre fourth race.

Being under the care of Travis Doudle and having the services of Dom Tourneur Sentimental Flame was second up after a spell and raced in a forward position before going on to win.

Resuming from a spell the Jason Holder ridden Imbibe took out the 1550 metre fifth race.

Coming out of the Gary and Dean Alexander stable at Murray Bridge and raced by SA wine baron Robert Hill Smith Imbibe raced in a forward position.

Sixteen Reasons brought up successive wins in the 1400 metre sixth race.

Trained by Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea the Todd Pannell ridden Sixteen Reasons came from a better than midfield position to win in a tight photo finish.

Michael Hickmott landed his second winner for the day when Taunting won the 1000 metre seventh race.

Giving Todd Pannell his second winner for he day Taunting raced one off the pace.

Coming off a last start second on the Parks track Does It went one better when he won the 2250 metre eighth race.

Being in the Richard and Chantelle Jolly stable Does It raced one off the pace throughout the event.

Jason Holder brought up a double when he rode Lovely Looking to victory in the 1250 metre final event.

Trained by Andrew Gluyas Lovely Looking brought up her second winner from her third start when she led all the way.
