Morphettville Races Review on 3rd February 2024

The six-year-old gelding Yuri Royale returned to the winner’s list when he took out the 2250 metre opening event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.

Ridden by Jake Toeroek the Richard and Chantelle Jolly trained Yuri Royale  had the run of the race before going to the front not far from home.

Fresh from their Strathalbyn cup victory on Friday Will Clarken and Niki O'Shea got themselves on the winner's board early when Toast the Deel took out the 1250 metre second race.

Guided to victory by Margaret Collett Toast the Deel came from a rearward position to beat her stable mate the Ben Price ridden Hayai Mesu.

The ten-year-old France's Boy continued to surprise when he took out the 1550 metre third race.

Bringing up win sixteen at start one hundred and six teen and having the services of apprentice Britany Wong the John Hickmott and Carina Riggs prepared France's Boy came from a midfield position to score a strong win.

Coming off three seconds the apprentice Nicola Yuen mount Willbeafactor tookout a 1250 metre handicap.

Prepared at Gawler by George Dimitropoulos Willybeafactor came from a worse than midfield position to meet with success.

Hoop Jacob Opperman became a senior rider when he rode Thailess to a win in the 1250 metre fifth race.

Making it two wins in a row the Andrew Bobbin prepared Thailess led all the way.

Jake Toeroek landed his second winner for the day when he rode Sandy Prince to a win in the 1400 metre sixth race.

Being under the care of Ben, JD and Will Hayes Sandy Prince was well placed.

Jockey Margaret Collett registered her second win for the day when Rising Legend took out the 1400 metre seventh race.

Bringing up successive wins the Chris Bieg prepared Rising Legend sat one off the pace.

Margaret Collett finished up a good day for the young guns when she rode her third winner Dual Fuel in the 1950 metre final event.

Trained by Murray Bridge trainer Peter Hardacre Dual Fuel came from well back to win.
