Marcus Bontempelli $10

Marcus Bontempelli has been close in capturing the Brownlow Medal but he has yet to secure the coveted award. Arguably the best player in the game, Bontempelli has been victim to his greatness as a forward, never being fully unleashed through the midfield like other Brownlow contenders. Things should be different this season for the Dogs and the Bont however - a forward line of Jamarra Ugle-Hagan, Aaron Naughton, Rory Lobb and Sam Darcy doesn't leave room for more talls such as Bontempelli to line up there. If Bontempelli becomes a full-time midfielder, his mix of ball winning ability and silky disposals will make him a near guarantee for votes most weeks.

Andy Brayshaw $15

Brayshaw took his game to a new level in 2022 to finish equal fourth in the Brownlow and only four votes behind eventual winner Patrick Cripps. Still only 23, Brayshaw possesses an incredible ceiling with plenty of room to continue to grow. A true two-way runner, Brayshaw can rack up disposals while also doing the hard work defensively. The only thing holding back the young superstar may be the threat of tags from opposition coaches. Brayshaw doesn't have the size and strength to break tags but will instead rely on his running ability to perform in these games. Brayshaw is set for another strong season and we may not have seen his ceiling quite yet.

Jordan De Goey $26

De Goey poses a myriad of questions when looking at his Brownlow chances. On one hand, he is one of the most explosive players in the game with a licence to play damaging football. On the other, there is the risk of off-field distractions or a failure to live up to his potential. Should De Goey finally play a full season at his best ability, he could potentially live up to his Dustin Martin comparisons and claim the Brownlow Medal. Tom Mitchell's addition to the team lightens the load on the midfielder, having someone else to get the hard ball while De Goey makes splashy plays in space with the ball in his hands. His game style could easily attract voters eyes and makes in an outside bet at Charlie in 2023.
