Naturally you give credit to Collingwood who are renowned for finishing like Chautauqua but the Bombers did a lot right throughout until that point.

Their game style held up, their defence held up, their pressure and skills as well. They were just one goal away from blowing it so far open that the Pies couldn't walk through.

But they didn't and now will feel it was one that slipped. It was such an even performance too. No one stood out with contributions across the park.

Given that happened, it will need to be repeated with even more ferocity against the reigning Premiers. What they did to their vanquished at Kardinia Park was incredible.

It was like someone simply hit play on the Grand Final again. 6 goals to 2 in the opening stanza and a cakewalk thereafter. Maybe Chris Scott will enjoy more that Sydney kicked no goals after half time.

He probably won't get the same enjoyment if that happens this week given it will be his brother suffering that fate.

Hawkins and Cameron, if not already, must be becoming one of the most potent 1/2 acts in AFL history. Another 10 goals between them. One doesn't age, the other only getting better.

When they are at their best you doubt anyone is capable of holding them up forward. Perhaps the only way is to stop it at the source. Hold the midfield and slow the supply.

The Bombers deserve a better respect than being near 2-1 outsiders in this match but the reality is Geelong has found their true mojo. When they get on these rolls, it is hard to stop them.

Blicavs might need to be a mobile ruckman for them and try to run Draper around. He looks the Dons best attacking force out of the centre.

But Geelong to win here. Cameron seems unstoppable at present.
