At 78-years-old, Ray Williams shows no signs of slowing down, and on Sunday at Kellerberrin the astute horseman prepared the Shire Of Kellerberrin Central Wheatbelt Cup winner Sister Cherie NZ who has had an impressive start to racing here in WA.

Magnificent Storm’s owner Rob Tomlinson insists he still thinks his star pacer has what it takes to measure up with the nation’s best pacers, despite coming away from the recent Queensland Constellations without a win.

Trainer Ray Williams is hopeful Magnificent Storm will bounce back to his best form in Saturday’s Sunshine Sprint (1660m) at Albion Park, following his unplaced performance at the same venue last Saturday.

Earlier this week when trainer Ray Williams was speaking to east coast media, the names San Simeon and Pure Steel were mentioned to him.

Leading into Magnificent Storm’s previous start, trainer Ray Williams was hopeful his stable star would get a good test in the lead up to his Queensland trip.
