WATC Debry 24/4

Hi guys,

Getting a rare opportunity to get to a metropolotina track on Saturday (live rural) & will be going to ascot.
Just hoping some of you have some useful pointers for the day or any neddies you have been following there....
On a quick perusal of the Derby field, I tend to favour the Hayes trainedChartreaux, basically because I still feel shivers the way he tore home for me 2 starts back, and he aint over for the weather.
Input appreciated.
Warm Regards

I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the Aintree carnival and other jumping meets in the UK recently.
How big are those hurdles, yes falls galore, but the jumpers are spectacular and gutsy horses.
Puts us to shame with the 'door-snake' size jumps (if you can really call them hurdles at all!!!!!!).
We really shouldnt bother holding these 'mini-skip' events, makes a joke of decent jumping races.

Can someone please tell me what the new category is about at the bottom of the settings box? There is also a percentage, are these together somehow?
Please let me know to inbox as well as post.
Thanks

SA Derby/Goodwood

sfewst

Surprised there are no general posts for these two interesting races. The 'slow' track should open them up a bit.
With a few of the faves drawn wide, I actually think there may be a blow out, with several smaller stables having some horses that've been nicely set. Just for the record I like 10 from 6 and 2.
The Goodwood is also a ripper with many a fine chance. I've gone 17 from 10 and 3.
Good luck all

WA Racing: Paris Petard

sfewst

Just wondering if any others had thoughts and/or comments regarding the WA 2 year olds, in particular the Fred Kersley trained Paris Petard who was sucessful in the WA Sires Produce yesterday. She was also desperately unlucky running 3rd in the Karakkatta Plate 2 weeks ago after missing the kick she spotted the leaders about 8 or 9 lengths from the home turn to run a close-up 3rd (about 1.5 lengths from the winner). She has the amazing record of 5 wins and 1 second from her 6 starts and has nevr started odds-on (maybe 9/10 once). She raced like a tired 2yo filly (compared with the dazzling sprint she normally displays) but still got home on sheer potential and courage. May be one of Australia's best 3yo's if she goes on with it. Good luck to Fred Kersley.
The Doncaster result, with Guy Walters training the first 3 past the post brought up an interesting question? Do horses that train together 'realise or know' their stable-mates are in the same race (obviously if they are eye-balling each other), but what I'm getting at is did Patezza, Danni martine and Courts in Session try to out-do each other as they would (in training), normally try to do? Obviously we'd all love 3 as good as these!!!

Human V Horse

sfewst

Just wanted some input regarding the "upcoming" race at Moree on March 26th.
Last years' Moree cup runner-up "Princess Os" will take on two 'human sprinters': John Shepherd and Grant Custance betwen races. The humans will run 150 metres (75 each) while Princess Os will run 300 metres.
Very good initiative.
