Breeders from all over there world will be tuning into Inglis's Riverside Sales Complex on Thursday night when the Chairman's Sale is conducted.

The offering has risen to become one of the most prestigious conducted in Australia each year and will again feature some of the most valuable broodmares in the world.

Some are already well established as proven producers, while some are still in training and being offered with the appeal as racing prospects before being retired.

Below is a look at the highest-rated mares by Timeform who are a part of the 88-lot catalogue.

118 – VIA AFRICAThis is a name that might resonate with Australians, mainly due to what she has done in the breeding barn. Her second foal was Golden Rose winner In The Congo, a son of Snitzel, while last year her filly by The Autumn Sun topped the Inglis Easter Sale after selling for $1.8 million. But the 14-year-old daughter of Var was a handy horse herself, winning three Group 1s in South Africa and having been crowned that country's champion sprinter in 2013/14.

117 – SHE'S EXTREME: Remembered fondly for her rivalry with Fireburn as a 2YO, the daughter of Extreme Choice posted her career peak in the G1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) but raced on at three to win the VRC Oaks (2500m) in 111, which was her final start.

115 – SPRIGHT: The daughter of Hinchinbrook landed her Group 1 win in the Sangster Stakes (1200m), which she won in 113, but her career peak came in defeat two starts prior when second to star filly Sunlight in the G1 William Reid Stakes (1200m). The 10yo, who has had four foals but none to race, will be sold in-foal to star Coolmore stallion Wootton Bassett.

114 – STARTANTES: The Robert Heathcote-trained daughter of Star Turn is the only filly to have won the G1 Tattersall's Tiara in the past eight years, running a career peak when she won that 1400m event two years ago. Startantes also placed in a Surround Stakes in 111 and Flight Stakes in 104 and is being sold as a racing and breeding prospect.

113 – HOPE IN YOUR HEART: Another who is being sold not just purely as a broodmare is Kerry Parker's daughter of Dundeel, who did not win at the highest level but finished runner-up in a Queen Of The Turf (1600m). Her career peak was also posted in defeat, in The Gong in 2022 when beaten a half-a-length by Riodini.

113 – SAMOVARE: A winner of the G3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes at G3 level, the daughter of Savabeel posted her peak number in defeat, in fact when unplaced, in the 2017 G1 Underwood Stakes won by Bonneval.

In addition to those who rated 113 or above, the Chairman's Sale catalogue also includes C'est Magique (Zoustar), who ran 112 when second in the Coolmore Stud Stakes, and 111-raters Pennyweka (Satono Aladdin), Tutta La Vita (The Autumn Sun) and Nafaayes. (Exceed And Excel).

Kimochi (Brave Smash), Steinem (Frankel) and Treasured Star(Toronado), who all own peak figures of 110, are others to have run to that number being offered for sale.
