Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Toowoomba, Wagga, Hawkesbury, Pakenham, Pakenham.

TOOWOOMBA: RACE 3 @ 3:53 PM

Heathcote-trained FLYWHEEL (4) has been racing in stronger Maidens and drops back to a sprint following a 46-day freshen. He's been kept up to the mark with a sharp Doomben trial and a top metro hoop sticks from that. Draws the paint and is suited. WESTOAK (6) placed at Doomben over shorter first-up and hasn't run out the longer sprints the two since. They have been in better city company. Finds slightly shorter and with Thornton reunited is worth another chance. JENNI MOREESE (8) resumes and has switched from a leading Victorian barn. She was backed off the map on debut and a post-race vet check revealed a slow recovery. Has a handy gate and needs to be kept safe. ALL WIN (3) placed second by a nose last start at this track and should race on the speed. Can figure in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Flywheel appeals most.

WAGGA: RACE 6 @ 5:05 PM

INVERTATIONAL (5) was only warming to his task late when resuming at Canberra last start. Comes in on the fresh side but has kept the legs ticking over with a handy Goulburn trial placing between runs. Unbeaten here and is a great chance to keep that record intact. MERC (4) got home nicely into fourth last start at Kembla Grange. Gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged and is in the mix with a similar effort. BROADSIDE ARMOUR (8) never looked likely last start at Albury when always well back in a competitive race. Strikes an easier assignment this time and goes well over this track and trip. In the mix. OFFSPRING (6) didn't give a yelp first up in a tough race at Moruya. Shoulders a strong record second up and comes right into calculations.
SELECTIONS: Invertational the one to beat

HAWKESBURY: RACE 8 @ 5:20 PM

OWL WITNESS (8) fitter now after two runs back and will find this more to his liking after making ground late when ninth over this track and trip behind Short Shorts in the Provincial CQ on March 9. Sure to be strong late. KHUMBILA (6) has returned much stronger this prep and was rewarded for his consistency when a slick on-pace maiden winner over the 1300m here at the latest. This is much tougher but gets map favours from the gate. THE CRIMSON IDOL (9) tough old mare retaining her zest for racing. Has a strong record at this track and distance and can give plenty of cheek from the draw. EYEQUE (4) resuming from a four-and-a-half-month break. Showed ability last time in and since fitted with two sound trials. Blinkers come off and maps to get the right run.
SELECTIONS: Owl Witness to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 1 @ 5:45 PM

ALMA RISE (11) looks the one to beat. She was very good on debut, running on very powerfully from back in the field to run second, beaten a nose at Sandown-Hillside over 1500m. Much better for that experience and should relish 2000m. Should be taking care of these. HOWLIN' RAIN (4) is racing well, coming off two minor placings here over shorter trips. Up in trip now should suit and he'll land in a good spot. TERTULIA (10) is a lightly raced type, resuming with a sound run here over a mile. Open to plenty of improvement and will be harder to hold out. CARACORON (5) was third albeit beaten 6 lengths at Stony Creek last time. Up in trip will suit. MEDICAL AUTOCRAT (7) next best.
SELECTIONS: Alma Rise to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 6 @ 8:15 PM

NAKOA (7) ran very well on debut at Sandown-Hillside in a very strong maiden. The winner won a listed race in Adelaide on Saturday very well and the second horse has also won since. Better for that run, she draws better and gets to 1400m. Should be winning. ZOMBIE MISSILE (5) has had two runs back from a spell, good at big odds first-up at Bendigo before a strong effort over this trip at Cranbourne. Maps well here and should be ready to peak. TARVUE (11) resumes. Three runs in her first campaign were solid and she may have improved. LITTLEBIRDIE (9) is a filly by Shamus Award on debut. In good hands and has won a jump-out. Respect. GONE GLOBAL (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Nakoa to win.
