AMELIA'S JEWEL (15) lost her unbeaten record when she was too far back before hitting the line hard to get close. Down in weight, drawn perfectly and trip should suits. Likely winner. BUSTLER (6) is four from four and while he was a narrow winner of the Fairetha it was a strong performance. Logical danger. ALL THE KING'S MEN (4) went down fighting behind Bustler and you have to include him in the chances. SNOWDOME (1) and SAINTORIO (2) have claims.
SELECTIONS: Amelia's Jewel to win. Trifecta 15-1,2,4,6/1,2,4,6.

BALLARAT: RACE 4 @ 1:45 PM

ICE PICK NICK (9) resumes from a nice break. Showed plenty in his first campaign. Won his first two in good style, the Valley win coming by a wide margin over some well fancied horses, and he backed that up with a good run behind Midwest in a strong form race. 1400m too far before a break but this looks perfect on his return. VIVIANE (13) ran a poor one last time but had been good prior to that. Can forgive one bad day. NAJEM SUHAIL (4) was good at Flemington after winning a race at Sale that has produced winners. SCREWED DOWN (8) another that can be considered.
SELECTIONS: Ice Pick Nick has a big profile for this.

BALLARAT: RACE 6 @ 3:00 PM

RIGHT YOU ARE (8) has been steadily building since joining this stable. Resumed off a long break and has run well in all three, the latest when strong at the finish of a race that was won on speed. On to what is now his home track and can peak for the occasion. Can see a much fitter CASTLEREAGH KID (1) take some catching on speed this time. Strong horse and hard to get by if he finds a flow on speed. CARLISLE (4) did just that last time with Right You Are behind. Have to respect that formline. SHIBLI (9) was plain there but can certainly do better.
SELECTIONS: Right You Are appeals as being ready to win.

KEMBLA GRANGE: RACE 9 @ 5:20 PM

NUGGET (4) stuck on well for second at his Australian debut over 1400m at Flemington after racing on the pace. His British form was over a mile so the rise in trip suits and he'll strip fitter. Can push forward and looks the one to beat. STEELY (2) ran a good race at Randwick latest when third in the Little Dance. Draws wide here but loves it at this track and has claims. SOLAR APEX (11) beat Steely home there and didn't have the best of luck. Will get a long way back again but watch for him late. ZOUSHACK (3) won well two back before a tough run latest with post race excuses offered. He can bounce back strongly.
SELECTIONS: Nugget to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 6 @ 3:08 PM

LOGAN STREET LION (9) made a winning return after a lengthy spell, scoring over this distance at Eagle Farm. That was his fourth success from six tries at the trip and he has won second up before so should be improved. Can go on with it. UCALLEDIT (5) is another with a strong record at this distance and he is racing well, scoring fresh before a Doomben second. Race fit and right in the mix. FLEETWOOD MACA (11) and STARVIRGO (7) are both fresh winners capable of progression.
SELECTIONS: Logan Street Lion to build on an impressive strike rate at this distance.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 3:48 PM

JE SUIS BELLE (9) was a real eye catcher first up when she ran on to miss by a head over this distance at Eagle Farm, her first outing since a Listed win at this trip. Terrific 1000m record and has only once missed a place here. With good second up statistics she can go one better. SIMPLY FLY (2) was the horse that beat Je Suis Belle first up. He is three from three here so must rate highly. GOLDSBOROUGH (6) hasn't missed a place fresh and draws the inside. Player.
SELECTIONS: Je Suis Belle to atone for the narrow first-up defeat.
