Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Moonee Valley, Canterbury, Wagga, Wodonga, Quirindi, Darwin and Sunshine Coast.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 3 @ 7:15 PM

WATADEEL (11) is an above average gelding who finished fourth in the Carbine Club 1600m GRP 3 last Spring. Made ground late when resumed with a sound seventh over 1300m in the Manfred GRP 3 at Sandown-Hillside on January 26. Drops sharply in grade and will relish the extra trip. Look for him late. EURO DANDY (6) is holding his form well and much better suited out to the mile. Caught the eye late when fourth over 1400m at Sandown-Hillside on February 4. Should be able to race closer from the draw. SUPARAZI (2) brings solid figures here and placed twice from three attempts this track. Gets in light again with the claim and distance should suit. CEASAR (10) showed good speed from the wide gate when nailed late to run second over 1600m at this track on January 21. A repeat of latest run keeps him right in the calculations.
SELECTIONS: Watadeel to win.

CANTERBURY: RACE 6 @ 8:30 PM

FAIRWAY STAR (15) was a dominant winner at Gosford last start as an even money favourite and a repeat of that effort should go close here. She's lightly raced having won 2/6 and looks to get the perfect run from barrier two. Hard to beat. SOPHIA'S MAGIC (3) is racing consistently without winning, placing at her past three. She was beaten as an odds on favourite last start but maps well here and drops in class. Big danger. THREE WISE MEN (1) has been poor at his past two but was very good prior in stronger races and can bounce back. NICOCHET (9) finished off strongly when beaten 1.75 lengths last time here. Worth including again.
SELECTIONS: Fairway Star to win.

WAGGA: RACE 1 @ 2:10 PM

BOLD TRIUMPH (2) stuck on gamely to the line fresh, holding down a minor placing at Albury. Has only missed the frame once from his five starts and has found the frame over the track and distance at both attempts. Up in the weights this time but strips fitter and should be hard to hold out. MAGIC DAN (6) is a Magic Albert gelding stepping out on debut for Michael Sparrow. Was solid through the line in a Canberra trial in readiness. Bold showing expected. GYPSY ROMANCE (9) chased spindly to the line off a freshen up at the Sapphire Coast, falling just shy of the placings. Should be nearing a peak. MISS STALWART (8) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Siding with Bold Triumph.

WODONGA: RACE 7 @ 2:30 PM

EUPHEMIA (2) was narrowly beaten three times over sprints before spacing her rivals here this grade and distance. The 2kg claim is handy and she rates to go right on with it. SHALILY (4) has been knocking on the door and is racing at peak. The blinkers go on first time and they may engender the extra she she requires. VESTED INTEREST (1) has been trying hard in stronger grade. He was an easy all-the-way winner at this level three back and that would have him in the frame. MISS ATHENA (5) can build on the deserved CL1 win at Wagga.
SELECTIONS: Backing Euphemia.

QUIRINDI: RACE 4 @ 3:05 PM

NOSEY PARKER (1) rattled home from midfield to finish 2.1L off the winner first-up at Newcastle. He jumped awkwardly on that occasion but can hold a much better spot from an inside barrier today. He has plenty of upside and should be scoring in a race like this. DECIDER (2) hasn't been far away his last two outings at provincial level and now comes back into country level. He can make his presence felt. KEROESSA (4) turned in an improved run last time out and is worth including. SUPER MIND (14) can sneak into a place with the aid of an inside draw.
SELECTIONS: Nosey Parker can break his maiden.

DARWIN: RACE 1 @ 3:06 PM

BEAU FLYER (1) is having his first local start since arriving from Queensland where he showed some ability early in both his preps to date. He would have matured over his spell and with the tongue tie on for the first time he is the one to beat. DEL VIENTO (2) is also making his local debut and is bringing some recent Victorian picnic form into this assignment. He has shown early speed on occasion and with the blinkers off he is capable of a bold showing. BRAVE FLING (5) ended up getting too far off them last start and only got going late but had no chance of finishing into the placings. He drops back in distance and gets the blinkers replaced by the visors, which suggests that the kick back off the track has probably been annoying him. Allow another chance. LAYLAH'S WISH (8) has led up in her most recent races and is likely to adopt similar tactics today. If she can get a soft sectional then she could be hard to peg back. Include in all multiples.
SELECTIONS: Beau Flyer to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 6 @ 8:37 PM

MISHANI MISSILE (6) walloped a CL1 field by 3.3L here this trip with Orman back on. He sticks and can secure a soft run from the low barrier. He looks well-placed to win again. EARLY THOUGHTS (5) led and deserved the CL3 win here at this distance and that stacks up. He can control the race from the rail and prove hard to pick up. DO WELL LEGEND (9) has been racing in stronger and back 260m should suit. In a leading barn and is a player. SMOKEY DIAMOND (4) surprised missing a lip at Doomben at better level and also deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: With Mishani Missile.
