Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Goulburn, Hamilton, Pakenham, Ipswich and Kingscote.

GOULBURN: RACE 1 @ 1:05 PM

SKY ARTIST (6) made sharp improvement at the back of her previous campaign. Won the Maiden easily first-up as expected and didn't have the best of it placing here following. In a top metro barn and will be further improved. The one to beat. CANDLELIT (1) resumes and jumps from the paint with a small claim. Owns a trial win and has placed 2/2 fresh. Good enough to threaten. PROMISING PROSPECT (4) won his Maiden here at short odds and was outgraded at Randwick (K) after. Has the early speed to offset the outside gate and is better suited today. Each-way prospects. OFF DA HIZZLE (9) peaks and hasn't been far away at the provincials. Tumbles in weight and an in-form jockey is booked. In good hands and keep very safe.
SELECTIONS: With Sky Artist.

HAMILTON: RACE 7 @ 4:50 PM

DIVINE CROWN (2) has only had two starts to date but did well to break his maiden last time out at Moe over this trip, running on strongly from midfield to score narrowly. Should only improve further again and finds a very winnable race to go on with the job. WILD WILLY (1) struggled at Morphettville but had been good prior at Gawler and can improve sharply. UNDER THE PALAIS (4) was close up in fifth when last seen at Werribee, giving the indication this longer trip would be suitable. If she's able to improve over the mile she can win. RUE BUNGAN (6) ran a better race last start at Murray Bridge and this isn't much harder. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Divine Crown to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 6 @ 8:15 PM

PURE PARADISE (11) kept fresh for this and expected to shed her maiden status tonight after coming from near last on the turn when a slashing fourth over 1400m in the LR Magic Millions 3yo Guineas at the Gold Coast on January 13. Will race closer to the speed and take stopping. BURJ EMPEROR (2) much better effort at second run back when fourth over 1300m at Sandown-Lakeside on January 31. This much easier and maps well. THOUGHTFUL WOMAN (9) 11-start maiden holding her form well. Will relish the drop in grade and trip after catching the eye late when third over 1600m at Sandown-Hillside on January 24. Can take a hand in the finish. ECLIPSION (4) first starter by All Too Hard out of Mnemonic from the Price/Kent (Jnr) yard. Finished a solid second in a trial at Geelong over 1000m on January 30. Must respect.
SELECTIONS: Pure Paradise to win.

IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 2:08 PM

THE PUNISHER (1) showed some decent pieces of form last preparation and was quickly on track beaten 0.5L here second-up. This is easier and he keeps the 1.5kg claim. Fitter again and should have these covered. REVITUP CHARLIE (5) spiked her figures narrowly beaten at Doomben in a 68. She started at big odds but she will only have to hold the form to get a major share of the purse. City-trained ILFRACOMBE KID (3) won a Maiden at Warwick and then was outgraded in town. Presents on a 5-day backup and will ride the speed from the low gate. Improving and has to be kept safe. NEW JOY (4) has been around the mark since the Maiden win. Peaks and is also in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing The Punisher.

KINGSCOTE: RACE 6 @ 4:40 PM

SEBRING'S ROSE (4) lengthened nicely to the line last start at Oakbank when scoring. That run puts her in great stead for this and she'll prove awfully hard to knock off with a similar effort. BATTLECRUISER (2) hasn't saluted for a long time but did catch the eye two back at Bordertown when closing off strongly late to just miss the frame. Has best figures good enough to be in the finish and warrants some thought. GIALLO (10) is another that doesn't win out of turn and has been below his best in his last two but was going better earlier in the prep. In the mix. Smaller cases can also be made for SUNNY GREEN (9) and SCOUT'S HONOUR (3).
SELECTIONS: Backing Sebring's Rose to win again.
