Big Guns Return

And they don't get any bigger than 6x Premier R&S Analyst - MC.

From the man that gave you good-things in Mitanni & Desert War comes another sterling rendition in his seasonal debut.

Best of the day is Ichihara from the Denham stable in the Show County at the Farm.

Rebel Dane has been backed into ridiculous unders which has resulted in plenty of value elsewhere.

Only one horse I want to be on though and that is the classy daughter of General Nediym. She’s been tuned up to the minute and is far more forward than any of her rivals today. Her most recent trial win was class with a capital (M)C and I expect her to dominate this race from the front.

Expect Tommy Berry to fire her out of the machine early, cut across the face of the field and dictate terms up-front.

Rebel Dane will come at her hard in the final 200m but the chestnut mare will be packing too many guns and will win with a leg in the air.

She’s another MC good-thing.

In a double-treat for forumites, D1ck Francis & Associates will make their long-awaited return to the forum with a new and exciting feature each week – D1ck’s Best. The feature will kick off on September 14 so MC will look at lining the pockets of his followers so they can attack D1ck’s Best with a vengeance.

It’s exciting times ahead for the forum.

Friday at the Valley

MediaCentral

Listen here lads.

The King of this forum spotted SYT as a potential champion before you even knew his name.

I've been telling anyone who would listen that he is greater than Northerly, Sunline and Lonhro and now he is officially ranked by timeform as better than the best trio we have seen in the past decade.

If you boxed the trifecta in the Dato as I suggested and then backed up with SYT in the Underwood when I gave you the winner before acceptances you'd be sitting very pretty for the rest of the spring, much like my handsome self.

I'll now give you another MC good-thing double tomorrow night at the valley.

Back Spacecraft into Hay List and get ready to rumble. It's the best double bet I've seen in recent years.

The undisputed King of this forum continues to churn out winner, winner, chicken dinner.

You are all very priveledged to have access to one of the greatest racing minds of modern times. I suggest you follow the King again.

Underwood Stakes - SYT

MediaCentral

Morning punters,

On the back of selecting the boxed trifecta in the Dato I'm going to keep the ball rolling with another feature winner in the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield next Saturday.

The Bart Cummings trained So You Think is a class galloper of the highest order. The lightly raced son of High Chaparral has come back in fine fettle this campaign evidenced by his strong win in the Memsie when defeating the aforementioned trio from yesterdays feature mile.

The form line looks imposing and his rivals are going to have their work cut out getting to him in the run to the wire.

He'll take out the Underwood on his way to the Plate where he looks assured of defending his WFA championship crown.

I firmly believe that he is the next true Champion to grace the Australian turf and he will further enhance this claim when he demolishes his rivals on Saturday.

Shoot Out v TT v Whobe

MediaCentral

Not sure what the punters have been smoking but Shoot Out deserves to be clear-cut favourite in the Dato.

Whobe is a non-winner and is a huge risk 2nd-up as he always is after pulling out a big run when resuming.

TT is suspect at the mile and Moody must have inhaled some of the punters 2nd hand smoke by setting her for the Plate.

Shoot Out on the other hand is quite clearly the 2nd best WFA horse in the land. His run in the Memsie after being parked 3 and 4 wide the trip was every bit as good as the winners. He'll settle back this time and so long as Stathi can find some cover he'll run over the top of them in the straight.

The rest are just making up the numbers but Shoot Out should be approximately evens with TT at 3.75 and Whobe at 4.50 and 40+ anything else.

There are two betting options here, the obvious is backing Shoot Out straight out at the inflated odds whilst the alternative is standing him one-out in the feccy with TT and Whobe boxed to run 2nd and 3rd. It won't pay anything flash but it'll get up.

I'll be going with the former however as it is the safest bet.

He's a good-thing.

It is time. The greatest racing mind that has ever laid eyes on the R&S forum is set to return to racing.

Right off the bat let me say that I am not doing this for my own good, I'm simply answering an SOS from R&S after a lack of quality postings and race analysis has left this forum hanging by a thread.

Perhaps some of you enjoy coming on any to argue, moan and complain as it's the only place you can get away with it. Whatever the case, it's about to change.

From this point on and with the help of some valued contributors to this former great site, we're going to turn this place around in time for spring.

MC and some former colleagues will bring in a few new segments which aim at helping you with your punting dollar. Stay tuned.

Two years ago, the forums best gave without question the greatest tip ever produced in the history of the forum.

In the Sir Byrne Hart Stakes of 07 the brilliant Mitanni destroyed a bunch of class gallopers. Leading up to the race, MC told every man and his dog that the favourites Dance Hero, Spark of Life & Primus were well and truly off their best and that Mitanni was clearly the one-to-beat, even though the market said otherwise.

Two years later in the same race (but with a different name) and the undisputed champ is guaranteeing another certainty.

Poor Judge will win today’s G2 Victory Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm.

In a race that looks open to many on paper, there is only one winning chance and I will be placing my entire bankroll for the day on the brilliant son of Royal Academy.

The Norm Smith-trained gelding is coming off a demolition job in the Listed Weetwood HCP when he smashed the track record at Toowoomba on his way to a 5 and ¾ length crushing. Prior to that, he recorded his first stakes success in the Listed Bribie Handicap. His last-start win made it three straight and 6 wins from his last 7.

The gun 4YO has drawn well in barrier 1 and is likely to settle just behind the speed in a race that looks to be lacking any real pace.
I can see the Gillian Heinrich trained Tour Guide going forward from the 8 in a futile attempt at injecting some much needed speed for her main fancy, Ghetto Blaster. Let me say that anything any jockey tries will be all in vain. In the unlikely event that something tries to go hard, Munce will take the sit just off them. If they dawdle, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Munce boot up and lead.

In any event, Poor Judge just wins.

It is time for this forum to embrace the great mind that it has access to. Rather than continually doing your dollars and scratching your heads after the event, place just the one bet for the day and place it on the ironically named Poor Judge.

Enjoy the win, take the missus out for dinner, do whatever you will with it. It’s a good-thing and it’s my gift to you. Enjoy.

Fresh from declaring Mitanni & Desert War good things, the forum's premier analyst returns for another special - a cup day good thing.

After spending copious hours grooming the formguides, my colleagues and I have come up with an outstanding bet in the Scweppes Tonic over the 5f.

The Kavanagh-trained Definitely Ready looks a horse of enormous potential.

The Schweppes is another step up from his latest assignment at Caulfield when destroying a handy field of speedsters but he drops in weight and we believe he is ready to take the next step up.

Think you can't go wrong backing this More Than Ready 3YO outright for all the coin you have so you're cashed up come cup time.

Don't forget, whoever you back in the Cup, make sure you double it with this fellow in Race 5. He is a Group 1 Champion sprinter in the making.

Have a great day all...hope you all enjoy the Cup day good-thing.
